Sayed Ammar Alhakim, President of ISCI met on Thursday, November 19, 2009, with Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan the Prime Minister of Turkey. This was part of Sayed Ammar's visit to Turkey on a tour to a number of countries in the region.

During the meeting they discussed in the political relations between the two countries and ways of promoting the best interests of the two brotherly peoples and ways to achieve more progress and stability in the region.

Mr. Erdogan praised the progress of the political process in the country and the role of ISCI as a political entity in the great success and the overall development of the political process and democracy in Iraq, stressing his country's readiness to offer what could be provided for the advancement of the political reality in Iraq and strengthen cooperation in various fields.
Mr. Erdogan also praised the national positions for the family of Alhakim in promoting unity and solidarity and the national defense issues.
