Sayed Alhakim stressed on the need to focus on the positives gained from the new experience in Iraq, noting that this is the responsibility of the Iraqi diplomats whose duty is to clarify and explain the Iraqi experience to others. By explaining that there are regional fears from the Iraqi experience and that is why you see these countries focus on the negatives of this new democratic experiment.

This came when Sayed Alhakim received on Thursday, July 21, 2011, Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, undersecretary of minister of foreign, Dr. Labid Abbawi, and Iraqi ambassadors abroad.

He called to explain what is happening in Iraq is due to the differences in political views and this is a natural state in democratic and a pluralistic a country that has a spectrum of different colors and sects. He noted that Iraq is ready to play a key role on the Arab level and regional levels.

He urged the heads of Iraqi diplomatic missions to communicate with decision-making centers in countries in which they represent Iraq and inform these countries of the Iraqi people, its sects, colors, personality, and wealth, and urge them to communicate with the media and to clarify what is happening so as to convoy the real bright picture of Iraq.

He stressed on the importance of ambassadors in being important link in the activation of the economic sector in Iraq. This is done through their ongoing meetings with centers of economic decision and businessmen, and urged them to invest in Iraq by informing them that Iraq has the opportunity to attract investment, as well as the primary mission of diplomatic missions abroad is represented by sponsoring Iraqi communities.

He renewed his call to work as one team, which will close the door to anyone who wants to interfere in Iraqi affairs, calling to find a unified vision to determine and organize political dissent and a vision that describes the relations between the political blocs and also determines the foreign relations of Iraq with the countries of the region and the world, adding that Iraq's interest is to be a friend to all and to play a key role in it its surroundings region.
