Ambassador Shalgam praised Sayed Alhakim's role in the political process and objectivity that characterizes ISCI and its leaders in dealing with the various political parties, praising the moderate positions of Sayed Alhakim in finding solutions aimed at overcoming the current political crisis in Iraq.

Ambassador Shalgam condemned the terrorist attacks, which targeted a number of areas of the capital Baghdad yesterday, expressing his regret at the fall of civilians, and expressed interest of the Arab League, including the developments in the Iraqi political scene, especially with the proximity of holding Arab Summit in Baghdad next month, and the need for Iraq to take an influential role in the Arab region.
