 Sayed Alhakim received on Thursday, December 22, 2011, a delegation from Alahrar parliamentary bloc headed by the Secretary-General of the bloc, Mr. Dhia Assadi and deputy of the speaker of House of Representatives, Dr. Qusay al-Suhail, and MP Bahaa al-Araji, the head of the parliamentary bloc.
Sayed Alhakim listened to the views of the Delegation in various political issues as well as the security situation and the latest bombings, confirming that the targeting of innocent people this way, aimed at creating discord between the components of the Iraqi people, stressing the need to address these criminal acts .
In a press statement following the meeting, the Secretary General of the bloc stressed on the common views between ISCI and Alahrar bloc on political events taking place in the country, stressing that the two parties agreed that the legal and judiciary issues should be entrusted to the judiciary so that these issues will not take political and sectarian dimensions.
Mr. Dhia Assadi said that the two sides agreed that there are those that are not interested in the stability of Iraq and its interests were behind the bombings that occurred today, stressing that those parties do not belong to a sect or a particular party and that Iraqis of all stripes reject what happened today and not to allow for any security breach that could destabilize the security and stability.
