 Sayed Alhakim received on Saturday, December 24, 2011, Mr. Peter Boxer, the British charge d'affaires to Iraq.
During the meeting, they discussed the situation in Iraq, in addition to bilateral relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom and the prospects of strengthening them in various fields.
Sayed Alhakim emphasized the importance of the need for dialogues, stressing the need to give priority to the content of unity and cooperation among all components of the Iraqi people in order to overcome tensions and crises experienced by the country.
The British charge d'affaires stressed his country's readiness to help to overcome the odds in the political process in Iraq, stressing that Britain look forward to seeing an Iraq that enjoys prosperity, independence and takes outstanding natural role in the region. |
