During the meeting, they discussed economic and financial relations between Iraq and Korea and ways of strengthening them to serve common interests.

The Minister stressed on the importance of the contribution of Korean companies in the field of rehabilitation of factories, housing, electricity, water projects, and roads, and noted to "the importance of benefiting from the experience of Korean companies in Iraq.

He also noted to "the importance of taking advantage of the Free Zone in Basra, and called for" Korean companies to contribute to support the investment sector which will benefit the two countries.

The Ambassador expressed the government of Korea's readiness to develop economic relations between the two friendly countries and asserted that "the government of South Korea is interested in supporting the Iraqi people in all areas."
